Another great book written by Alex Flinn. Ah, I couldn't explain how much I enjoyed reading this book. Seriously I didn't want this book to end, I felt kind of sad when I was halfway done reading the it.

This isn't a sequel to Beastly so yes, you can read this even without reading the book 1. This is purely a different story. It's about a girl named Emma, who had a not so good step sister. (Wait, can I say evil step sister) All throughout my reading experience with this book, I've always wanted to kick and slap her step sister!) But, this book is just not about Emma and her topsy turvy life. It also explained how Kendra became a witch. Kendra also explained some missions she had accomplished just before she met Emma

The book started with Kendra's life and how she transferred from one place to another. The main story focused after the incident with Kyle (from Beastly) where she made Emma as her subject. Emma is a nice girl who happened to have an evil step sister named Lisette.Her step came into the picture after Lisette mother died. Lisette's parents were separated and with no one else to go to, Emma's father had to take care of Lisette and made her stay at Emma's home. 

Their father of course had to make up the times he wasn't with Lissie. Emma got jealous of Lissette and kind of drifted away from her father. Little did she know that Lisette wanted to take everything from Emma. Her friends, things, and even Warner (Emma's first love of her life). 

With Kendra's help, well actually Kendra didn't really help Emma to banish Lisette but she stayed with Emma and supported her while she's mourning for everything that happened to her; a new coincidence happened. After Emma realized that she shouldn't go after Warner who happened to be a pet of Lisette, that's where Travis, the famous rock star came in to the picture. 

What I also loved about this book is the way how Alex made me feel as if I am not really reading a book. The way how she wrote this book is quite different from the other books I have read. 4 characters narrated on the book but it wouldn't make you leave hanging and confuse with what's really going on. It's as if the characters are really speaking and readers can really picture out every words written on the book.

Brilliant. Stunning. Wonderful. All praises for this series. I couldn't explain how much I love this book from start to end. Everything about it was written perfectly. 

One of the best series I have read (thanks to the Blair-Waldorf-look-a-like book cover) and I will never forget how this book moved me from book one down to the last volume. 

Boundless - true to its tagged, the title has limitless creativeness and imagination. It focused on Clara’s college life at Stanford, and there her visions became darker and vivid. She has now more control of her power and has already mastered how to start the “Glory”. This is where she was trained by her Father to become an “angel warrior”, and how to control space and time by moving from one place to another. At the end of the day, Clara is not the kind of angel I thought it would be. She was special and has greater powers unlike other Angels on the book that’s why the angels, whether black or White are so interested of her.

Samjeeza, the infamous Black Wing who is so in love with Clara’s late mother, appeared every now and then on Boundless. It turned out actually that he was demoted from being a Watcher and assured Clara that she shouldn’t be afraid of him. He warned her that he should keep herself away from Asael, who happened to be Samjeeza’s brother because it was him who is so fond of powerful men of angel bloods and fancied himself as the collector of Triplares. But unfortunately, Asael happened to be Angela’s father who planned to get Webster from her by the assistance of Phen/Penamue who is the real father of Webster (obviously, it’s not Pierce) and Lucy who is the girlfriend of Clara’s brother. Too much surprising revelations! It turned out too the Maggie was very much in love of Samjeeza and she just got angry with him because he confessed that Watchers are supposed to find someone who can carry angel-bloods. Another revelation is that Christian is Asael's son which means Ange is his sibling.

Heaven and hell was depicted on this last book too, and after all the fight with Black angels, love and glory still prevailed in theend.

PS: I am 100% happy! I've been rooting for Tucker since day 1 and I am very pleased to know that Clara ended with her one true love. :)

Radiant (Unearthly 2.5) by Cynthia hand

This is a great novella to read just before you jump into Boundless. A merely good book to take a break from the world of Angels. Though a part of this book is still associated with angels, it’s just mild and a feel good book.  

The novella tells the few weeks’ vacation of Angela and Clara on Italy. Clara decided to join Ange as a perfect escape from the not so good memories that happened to her in Wyoming. This is where Phen; Angela’s love interest was introduced. Like how and where they met, and how Angela tried to seduce Phen. Yes, seduce was the term that was used on the book. Can you just imagine an Angel trying to seduce another Angel?

Though most POV’s came from Angela, I still find her personality very cryptic. I couldn’t seem to figure out if she’s nice or could turn out in the long run a Black Wing. Her jealousness became resilient on this novella. She was jealous of Clara being too beautiful and the one who gets more challenging missions. I am now thinking that Angela might do something bad that would endanger Clara’s life on Boundless.

I just had an outburst of emotion after reading Hallowed. I felt really sad while reading this mainly because all the characters are suffering from sadness and pain. Negative vibes consumed me and even if the ending is really okay, part of me feels really gloomy every time I think about the grievances the characters went through.

I loved this book as much as I loved Unearthly – but unlike the 1st book, there is a vast difference between the two. Unearthly focused more on Clara’s unveiling her Angel side while Hallowed is she’s getting used to being a special Angel.

In book 1, Clara wasn’t able to fulfill her mission. Yes, she was able to save Christian from the fire, but it turned out that Christian is also an angel whose mission is to save Clara. I was kind of upset when I found out that Christian is also partly an angel, because I have a great feeling that in the end, the two  would end up together.

Since Clara wasn’t able to fulfill her mission to save Christian, she knew well that there would be underlying consequences. She pretty messed up her real mission and ended saving Tucker first from the forest fire, and went to Christian after her mother said so.

Clara struggles with an appalling revelation too.  Someone she loves will die in a matter of months, and she thought that it was Tucker who’s supposed to die as a part of her consequences for not fulfilling her mission. She was too focused trying to prevent Tucker from dying but it turned out that her mother is the one who’s destined to die.

Jeffrey’s mysterious side started to show up on this book too. It turned out apparently that he was the one who started one of the forest fires where Tucker was trapped. It was part of his vision, and he was supposed to save Tucker from the fire but everything had changed after Clara’s saves Tucker from the fire.

The love triangle is intense on this book - while Clara is very much in love with Tucker Avery, Christian Prescott keeps on saying that both of them belong together. But since Clara is very much in love with Tucker, she keeps on rejecting Christian. But in the end, Clara & Tucker had to let go of each other because they know deep inside that their relationship can never be normal. Clara feels that Tucker doesn’t deserve her and what he needs is a normal girl.

I knew from the beginning that i would really love this book. I enjoyed reading all parts and there were no dull moments about the book. Everything was depicted so clearly and I felt like I was Clara all throughout my reading experience. I couldn't explain how much this book fascinated me. This reading experience is quite new for me because I never thought that Angel stories would have a great impact for me. I have read the Providence trilogy by Jamie Mcguire, but the fighting scenes on the last part made me think that Angel books would have the same substance. Fighting with demons and save people. 

I am so happy that I gave this book a chance (thanks for the beautiful cover because that is actually one of the main reasons why I decided to read this). 

5 stunning stars for this book. I'm thinking that this book has it all already. I love all the characters and the gist. Tucker and Angela made it even more beautiful because of their sense of humor. Most of their lines actually made me laugh. The part where Angela couldn't keep her mouth shut even if Clara made her promise not to ask her mom about angels still makes me smile every time I remember that part.

The book started with depicting Clara's vision. Well, we know that all angels have their mission, and in order for them to know what their real mission is, they have to find out and connect all the pieces from their vision. As per Clara, she kept on visioning fire on forest, where a guy is trapped. By connecting all the pictures on her vision, she found out that the forest fire would happen somewhere in Wyoming, so her family had to leave California where they grew up just so she can fulfill her mission. 

It wasn't a great transition for Clara because had to adjust to her surroundings and find where Christian (the guy trapped on fire) is. She has to get used to with the environment, and of course make new friends on her new school. But due to her great personality, she was able to find good friends and excel with what she does on the book.

  Even if everything starts to fall in its right place, she had to conceal her true angel side because people are not supposed to know that she's a Quarterian. But as the story progress, "some of her friends" found out about her secret, and at the same time, Clara also found out some revelations that made her mission easier to be fulfilled. It turned out Clara's family are not the only angel-bloods in Wyoming. 

After all, saving Christian is not how the book would end, because Cynthia Hand was able to make a good twist that would make the heart of the book readers cringe. Clara will be torned whether she should save the love of her life or follow her real mission on Earth. 

Unearthly Series

The story follows a teenager named Clara, who learns that she is part angel and has a purpose to fulfill on Earth. While seeking answers about her role, Clara encounters friends, enemies, and romantic interests amidst her journey.

Okay, so I've been reading too much heart wrenching stories for the past few days, and I think now's the time to shift to a new genre. I decided to pick this series because of the cover, with no clues what the book is all about. I thought it's all about gods and goddesses who falls in love with a mortal, only to find out that this book is more interesting from what I have expected. Reading every chapter makes me very giddy! 

The wings whether white or black; the flying lessons, the golden hair, everything about this book makes me very fascinated with it. I am loving this even better because the angels here are not the typical angel who'd come from heaven and do their mission on Earth. The angels on this book act like human and mingle with them. They go to school, make friends,and at the same time in a hidden place, they practice to fly and learn about their "hidden talents." 

I'm still on the first book though, and as early as now, I'd like to commend Cynthia Hand with her works. I am confident that I could rate this book 5 stars until the end of the series.☻ 

I've got a message

I've been a fan of Ms. Colleen Hoover after I read all her books. I followed her blog, read some of her book reviews, and yeah, I added her on Good Reads just to see her updates from time to time. Her way of writing inspired me and made me realize a lot of things. Mind you, her books have a lot of moral lessons and at the same time, the story would make you cringe.

And so I did send her a fan mail (thank you good reads), because I didn't have to get her address and send her my letter. She’s nice and with her busy schedule, she managed to reply to my message which I made me feel very happy and lucky.
